History

Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry of the Slovak Republic was established through the voluntary decision of paper companies operating in Slovakia.

The founding members were:

  • Juhoslovenské celulózky a papierne, a. s., Štúrovo

  • Bukóza Holding, a. s., Vranov nad Topľou

  • BUKOCEL Hencovce, a. s.

  • PT Žilina, a. s., Žilina

  • Metsa Tissue Slovensko, s.r.o.

  • Harmanecké papierne, a. s., Harmanec

  • SHP Harmanec, a. s.

  • Slavošovské papierne, a. s., Slavošovce

  • SHP Slavošovce, a. s.

  • Research Institute of Paper and Pulp, a. s., Bratislava

  • Slovpap, a. s., Bratislava

The inaugural meeting took place on 29 November 1996 in Ružomberok.

Ing. Ján L í š k a, President of SCP Ružomberok, a. s., was elected as the President of the Association. Ing. Milan Š t o l c, General Director of the Research Institute of Paper and Pulp, a. s., was elected as Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Ing. Juraj D l h o p o l č e k was elected as the General Secretary.

The Association is a member of:

  • The Association of Employers' Unions and Associations (AZZZ SR) since 1997
  • The Confederation of European Paper Industries (CEPI) since 2002
  • The Scientific Research Center of the Wood and Paper Industry
