Membership in International Organizations

Through its members, ZCPP (Slovak Association of Pulp and Paper Industry) represents the pulp and paper industry in the Confederation of European Paper Industries (CEPI).

The CEPI is a non-profit organization representing the European pulp and paper industry. Established in Brussels, CEPI encompasses national associations from 18 European countries. The aim of CEPI is to promote sustainable paper production, strengthen the competitiveness of the European industry, and advocate for the environmental and regulatory interests of the sector. The organization also supports innovation and the efficient use of raw materials, as well as efforts to combat climate change by reducing the carbon footprint and supporting sustainable forest management.

CEPI has established four main committees, where ZCPP has its representatives:

  1. Climate Change and Energy
  2. Environment and Safety
  3. Recycling
  4. Forest and Wood

ZCPP actively participates in lobbying efforts towards the European Commission and other European Union bodies. The main goal is to integrate European legislation and environmental improvement initiatives into domestic activities while maintaining the competitiveness of the paper industry.
