Successful international cooperation of ACPP, SPPC and ZCPP SR at the expert seminar “Quality Management and Water Treatment in the Pulp and Paper Industry.”

The conference focused on quality management and water treatment in the pulp and paper industry—topics that remain essential to our sector and are continually evolving. Several experts gave presentations, including representatives of our member organizations – the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava and the Research Institute of Pulp and Paper (VÚPC).

The opening address was delivered by Mr. Jozef Kindl, Chairman of the Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry, z.s., for the Czech Scientific and Technical Society (ČS VTS). In his remarks, he recalled that the topic of quality management in water treatment was last discussed as the main focus of a conference back in 2019. Since then, methods and technologies in this field have advanced significantly and have become increasingly adapted to the practical needs of the industry.

The presentations were practical, specific, and inspiring, which all participants greatly appreciated. The discussions following the sessions confirmed that even in a sector with well-established procedures, there is still considerable room for innovation, collaboration, and the exchange of experience.

As is often the case at such professional gatherings, not everything gets resolved during the official presentations. Many stimulating conversations, ideas, and even small agreements emerged over dinner in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, where both professional and personal ties between colleagues from both sides of the Morava River were further strengthened.

I am pleased that we, as ZCPP SR, had the opportunity to take part in this traditional event and contribute to strengthening Czech-Slovak cooperation in the pulp and paper industry.
